Hi, I’m Rhen (she/her)

I live on the stolen lands of the Cowlitz, Cascades, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (see native land map).
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L11316) offering telehealth therapy throughout Oregon.

Finding the right therapist matters

I’m really glad you’re here. I know that searching for a therapist can feel confusing, exhausting, or even disheartening. I believe it’s important to feel resonance with a therapist — to have the space to ask questions and make sure it feels like a good fit before you commit.

That’s why I offer a free 20-minute meet-and-greet over video. It’s a chance to connect, ask anything that’s on your mind, and see how it feels before scheduling a first session.

How I work

As a therapist with lived experience, I bring deep understanding, compassion, humor, and curiosity to my work. My approach is relational, collaborative, and educational — I don’t position myself as the expert on your life.

You bring your own story, insight, and wisdom; I bring tools, perspective, and support. Together, we’ll untangle what feels stuck, help your body and mind reconnect, and rebuild trust within yourself.

I also understand that our brains and nervous systems process the world in different ways. Whether you identify as neurodivergent, are exploring that possibility, or simply experience the world more intensely or uniquely than others, our work will honor your natural ways of thinking, feeling, and connecting — not pathologize them.

What I believe

We are not separate from the environments and systems we live in.
Anxiety, depression, and trauma are not only personal experiences — they are often natural responses to disconnection from self, relationships, community, and larger systems.

While diagnostic labels can be useful at times, I see people as far more than those labels. Your experiences make sense in context — including the ways your brain and body may have adapted to stay safe in environments that weren’t always supportive.

A social and systemic lens

Integrating awareness of power, privilege, identity, and systemic oppression is central to my practice. I welcome open and honest conversations about how these dynamics show up — in the mental health field, in our therapeutic relationship, and in everyday life.

What therapy with me is like

Healing is rarely linear. Sometimes it feels like nothing is happening or like you’re looping back to old patterns. In those moments, I’ll help you notice the subtle shifts, hold hope when it feels far away, and remind you that healing often happens quietly, in small and steady ways.

I’m committed to ongoing learning and growth because I deeply care about offering therapy that is both effective and attuned to each person I work with. I continually reflect on my practice and integrate new understanding so that the support I offer remains responsive, grounded, and meaningful.

You can expect warmth, curiosity, and an ongoing invitation to bring your full self into the room — even (and especially) the parts that feel uncertain or guarded.

I’ll be here with my cup of tea to meet with you — and you’ll likely meet my dog, Blizzie, too.
