HI, I’M RHEN (SHE/HER).

I am living on the stolen land of the Cowlitz, Cascades, Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (native land map). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L11316) offering telehealth services in Oregon.

I am glad you are here. I know the process of looking for a therapist can be confusing and difficult. I believe that it’s important to feel resonance with a therapist and for anyone seeking support to have the space to ask questions to be sure we are the right fit. I provide a free 20-minute meet and greet via video platform. I welcome you to learn more about me before scheduling a first session. Ask all the questions!

As a therapist with lived experience, I bring deep understanding and compassion to my clients. My therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, humorous, and educational. I don’t consider myself as an expert in your life. It’s important to me to create a space where you can openly share what works and what doesn’t for you. I have knowledge and skills I bring but I believe that you have a great deal of knowledge and expertise in your life. I see my role as a facilitator as you unwind the knots and rebuild trust with yourself.

I understand that we are not disconnected from the environments we live in and know that inequities in our systems impact health and well-being. I see experiences of anxiety, depression, and trauma as both an individual experience and a natural response to disconnections in relationships, community, and systems. While diagnoses are often necessary and even sometimes helpful, I see people as much more than these labels.

I believe that integrating an understanding of power, privilege, identity, and systemic oppression is critical. I welcome conversations about how these show up in the mental health field, therapeutic relationship, and daily life.

Therapy and healing are not a linear or simplistic path. It can feel like nothing is happening or like we return to the same places. In these moments, I will remind you of the changes you have made and hold on to hope when it feels far from reach.
